Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers as well as from the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two notable covers that she has recorded. Katy Perry's endorsement of her track Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's appreciation. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in the attic of her home, and being captivated by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music for a love rather than as a job. The singer began to write her own songs. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. The singer decided to perform her music in public when her mother suggested that they could help people not to gain fame with her work, but instead help the people around them understand their own importance and how they impact the world. The piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and began making music when she was 9 years old. It was not until she turned 14 that she told her parents. Aurora has never imagined being famous. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. To her music, is the most efficient way to express anything.
